Trendy Web Statistics Counter Integrating Social Media

By: Ellie Yamane

Clicky Web Analytics is my favorite web analytics. I still like Google Analytics and Awstats and use them both, but Clicky offers more unique information . It is also the one that is accommodating the social media, making it the most trendy analytics, and it has a lot of advantages.

1. Real Time Data

Clicky data is real time. This is the number one reason why I like this over Google.

2. Intuitive Dashboard

The dashboard is intuitively designed, and is customizable to suit your own needs, making it super easy to find the data you are looking for.

3. History and Segmentation multiple ways

This is where it starts getting juicier for me. On Clicky, you can cut, slice and dice the data into many different segments. You can set the graph to display in today vs. yesterday, against 7 day average, or a custom date range. You can even choose a particular visitor and see how many times they have been visiting.

4. Host and Organization Names

Clicky shows host and organization names when available. Many companies have their own internet host, revealing their company names on the analytics.

5. Twitter Analytics

Twitter Analytics monitor keywords on Twitter. Enter the keywords you want to track, and it monitors the number of tweets, links, and hash tags.

6. Spy

The "Spy" feature is a live view of visitors' actions that refreshes on its own, that I have not seen on any other stats counters. You can view the incoming traffic and interactions in live.

7. WordPress Integration

If you have a WordPress blog, you can also use a Clicky WordPress plugin. This plugin will auto-tweet your blog entries, with shortened urls using their own clicky.me url shortner, allowing you to monitor the traffic referred by your tweet links.

Other features include goals and campaigns, IP address labeling, and of course standard features such as traffic source, locale, entry/exit pages and outgoing links. The technical support is pretty reliable too, they typically respond within hours, not days.

You can try the free plan, but some of the features mentioned above are only available on paid plans, starting at $4.99 per month. Check out the demo and sign up at getclicky.com.
