Yoli Review (What is Yoli)(Learn More About Yoli): Hype or Next MLM Giant? Part 1 of 2

By: J. Rahim Bronner

Every so often, something truly special comes along in Network Marketing. Every company says they are special, that they have the best products, smartest leadership, etc etc, but in the case of Yoli, I feel it might just be the case.

"We are founded by distributors for distributors," says Yoli President Robby Fender. Fender is a longtime veteran of the Network Marketing industry and has been an extremely successful associate himself before turning Co-Founder and company President.

There are six co-founders of Yoli, including widely-respected Networking author Darren Falter, who brings great integrity and knowledge to the enterprise. "The difference is shelf-life," says Falter. "Every other company has to add in preservatives and chemicals to allow their drink to sit on the shelf for up to twelve months. We don't. Ours stays fresh until you use it; that's what sets us apart."

Corey Citron, Chief Marketing Officer and another Co-Founder for Yoli, was one of the top five associates in Xango before leaving to form Yoli. "We know what it's like to be just starting your business," Citron says, "so I don't care if you have to crash on the floor, take a bus, whatever you have to do to get to Vegas for our first convention, just get yourself there. If you want to build a Yoli business, coming to Convention is the single most powerful thing you can do." Corey brings a fresh, unique perspective to Networking that shows up in the videos, marketing campaigns and extremely user-friendly website created for distributors.

Research and planning has gone on for much of the past year, with the company making products available in the middle of 2009. The "pre-launch" or "soft launch" happened ahead of schedule in November, 2009, with the company doing more than $1 million in pre-launch sales.

Yoli is part of the Healthy Beverage industry, taking on Gatorade, Vitamin water, Sobe water, and others for the coveted dollars that people spend on sodas, energy drinks, juices, exercise drinks, and flavored-water beverages. There is a difference, though.

"Yeah, there's a difference," says CMO Corey Citron, "ours has no sugar, no chemicals, no preservatives. Just look at the list of ingredients in most of those other drinks. You can't even pronounce the names of half of the stuff in there. Our goal is to improve the health of this country, and of the kids in this country, by providing healthy beverage alternatives. There is just nothing like our delivery system out there."

Yoli centers around a breakthrough in how the beverage is delivered. Where most beverage companies add in preservatives and chemicals to increase shelf-life, Yoli delivers its drink's contents through a freeze-dried "blast cap" that stays fresh until the user is ready to consume. The plastic insert fits into the mouth of a water bottle, the user "blasts" or presses down on a plastic button, and the powder releases into the water, creating a fresh, healthy drink right on the spot.

The company's first product, Truth, is a Gatorade-like alternative, with natural ingredients acai, goji, pomegranate, resveratrol, and monatau gold. There is an absence of refined sugar, using xylitol and stevia as natural sweeteners. There are plans for a greens drink, detox drink, weight loss-meal replacement drink, alkalizing pH drink, and more.

"The cap gives us flexibility," says President Robby Fender. "So we can go wherever the healthy beverage market goes; we are not tied down to any one product."

Yoli is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The first annual convention is Jan 22-24, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV.
